It was rather annoying trying to create a team, because you can only see one thing at a time. Nope, that's just the way its supposed to look. Everything looked huge, so I actually checked to see if the screen resolution had changed to 640x480 or something. The first thing that struck me upon starting up the game was the menu. Team17 had really dropped the ball after worms world party, when they decided to go 3d, so I was excited to see that they seemed to be going back to their roots. My advice ? if you still have windows xp, find yourself a copy of Worms World Party, which still run on almost every computer flawlessly. Last time i played, the computer managed to kill ALL HIS WORMS in one single shot. Seriously ? Basically, it's like a cheap rip-off of Worms Armageddon. All customisation options are gone, except which hats you fancy on your Worms, and their voice. That's it, nothing more, nothing less, extremely boring. The controls are sketchy, the physics awfully off and simplistic, and the HUD looks like a placeholder for beta testing. This is a PC port of the lousy xbla and psn version. But this is not the updated Worms Armageddon everyone was waiting for.
And i was really looking forward to this one. But this is not the updated Worms Armageddon I've been a die-hard Worms fan since the first one.

Developers should learn how to do a proper "remastered", don't give them your money so they can undestand that and stop releasing lazy games like this.I've been a die-hard Worms fan since the first one. Don't bother buying this, don't even think of it, is a copy-paste of the original game with no improvement aside from the 1080p gameplay. I heard people having FPS problems as well, so yeah, another strike. Did I mention the game crashed 3 times in 20 minutes? what the hell? and there are people having compatibility and optimization issues as well in the forums.

Pros: 1080p gameplay, yay Cons: Everything else, the menus are in 640x480 so it's a pain in the capital B to alttab and don't even try to use the overlay, this will make multi-monitor users have problems as well, there are no key bindings nor control schemes for keyboard/mouse, lack of graphic and audio settings, basically is just a copypaste of the original game interface, there's no good online (yeah, wtf Team17), no steamworks matchmaking, I don't remember seeing a direct IP connection so I guess you will have to use Hamachi and similar software to play with friends without lag, because there's just this UK Wormnet master server where I was unable to join a single damn match and there's no people whatsoever, "the perfect online gaming experience"?! yeah sure. Pros: 1080p gameplay, yayĬons: Everything else, the menus are in 640x480 so it's a pain in the Oh, Team17, why you do this to us.
